I just got myself a Canon, and head hunting for a flash unit now.. Besides 580 exii and 430 ex, and other flash unit good for option? Generic brand doesn't matter for me.. Cheers.

I use and recommend the Sunpak 383 flash. It's semi-auto, not P-TTL, which is good for me maybe not so much for you. Another good semi-auto flash is the Vivitar 285.
