Ok, so I've tried this new feature. I added text only to the top of the picture, and it shows up both on top and bottom of the picture. I can't get rid of the bottom caption. What am I doing wrong.

It seems it now defaults to having your captions above the photos instead of below. I made a post this morning, and was able to place the captions beneath the photos, but not until after I went into my profile to reset it to bottom captions.

Just now I made another post, and can't add any captions at all - above or below the photo. To make matters worse, when I clicked on the post I made this morning, all my captions disappeared! Highly annoying.

Ok, well it seems that if I choose to have the captions on top, they come back - but appear both on the top and the bottom. If I choose to have them appear at the bottom, they don't appear at all, and I have no option to add them to new posts.

Hi Mike, All my titles have disappeared. I was trying to set them to appear under the images but now all the captions have gone and I can't seem to get them back. Can you help please??

PS. Just tried to get the titles at the top — this has restored titles at both top and bottom! I'm confused! cheers,

I have the same experience as ncshutterbug - choose "top" and captions appear at both top and bottom; choose "bottom" and no captions appear at all.

I tried setting the captions back down where it used to be and nothing shows up. I then reverted it back to the top caption setting and now the caption shows in both places. I'm also having issues adding captions..

My titles were showing up at both the top and bottom, went to the account page and saved the setting as bottom only, and when I looked again, my captions had disappeared.

Same with the top + bottom or no titles at all. I'm using Firefox, don't know if that matters. Would prefer if it defaulted to the bottom, btw. Thanks for the options!

i am having the same problem, if I choose bottom I have no captions if I choose top they are both on the top and bottom. Is there a way to fix this

I have lost ALL my writing! got rid of captions on top ,the ones on the bottom stayed for a day. next morning ALL gone. So gutted.

Mike, thanks for your efforts. I also have the same problem with the captions, which I would like to appear at the bottom. What seems to happen, at least with my posts, is that nothing appears on the post page, but the caption does appear when you click on the photo for an enlarged version. (I assume this was unintended anyway.)

Same for me - all the captions are either top and bottom or nothing. The aesthetics of double captions drives me crazy! I'm sure it'll get fixed!
