Very touching. Nicely captured, too. Do you also have parts of roads and highways dedicated on behalf of someone killed by a drunk driver?

A fitting tribute to the cyclist and a lasting reminder to car drivers to watch out for cyclists. Unfortunately only cyclists who also drive cars realise how much room a cyclist needs when being overtaken!

Never saw a ghost bike near a scene of an accident, just plants, pictures and posters. The bike adds a bit more impact to the statement to be careful of bicyclists.

This is such a nice memorial. Over here we're not quite as tasteful. People tend to simply tie a bunch of flowers to a lampost. Beautiful shots.

Excellent and a beautiful post. But how sad, and as a long time cyclist myself, I applaud the person or group whose doing that. Because most states only provide lip service to bicycle safety and education, while in reality those very same state actively do nothing to actually promote either. In fact in many cases, states are more inclined to try and find way to force cyclists off the road.
