Enlightening Times....

Ohhhh-kee-doh-keeeeee.... so, xmas is around the corner, the decor and twinkly stuff is up.... and twinkling!?!?!..... and so inspires one to "hav a lil play"..... tripod, low light, full manual mode, starlight filter.... and a laser!!....... and some basic post edit.................... and lots and lots of trial and error............ still, not much else to do this wintery sunday evening......................... >:)

Alien Invasion!!

Invasion??..... well, not really....... but as an avid fan of HG Wells "War of the Worlds" from a young age, I have always looked upon these immense structures with a little imagination as martian 'Fighting Machines' marching across the english countryside ready to reek havoc!!... As I wandered out today and saw a line of these pylons in the distance it struck me that I had never been up close and personal with these giants.........sooooooooooooo........ a mile or so later, and "ooooooo, impressive"...... as an engineer I am somewhat fascinated anyway by not only the structure and design of these behemoths but also in what they are part of... conveying the nations electrical needs!!..... 400,000 volts!!..... and trust me, you could hear it, a constant crackle and hum of power flowing just above... a little freaky in a way..... It was a murky day, very quiet as I was out in the middle of nowhere, which only added to a foreboding feeling standing so close to this monster..... i liked it!!

Niyah, patiently and intently watching me, whilst I take a short break from one of our jaunts out in the New Forest..... she's kinda of my fav but dont let Misko know....
